Mrs. Borseth and Mrs. Hegg are excited to welcome you into our wonderful Kindergarten Class!
May 12, 2017 What a wonderful field trip the kindergarten class enjoyed at Woodland Park Zoo! Thank you to the family members who were able to attend, to those who were able to help carpool, and to all for returning permission forms- the exciting trip wouldn’t be possible without you! Although it was a whirlwind week in kindergarten, we were able to wrap up the Unit 5 literacy assessment which included sight word, letter, and sound recognition as well as word blending skills and listening comprehension. Next week, students will use their zoo experience to develop and apply opinion writing skills and our reading selections will include Kitten’s Firs Full Moon and Curious George Makes Pancakes. Composing and decomposing numbers to build number sense continues to be the focus of math work . In science, we are anxiously observing our planted seeds and also watching as our tadpoles seem to change daily! An Important Note from Cub Scout Leader, Matt Lawless Cub Scouts Raingutter Regatta, Monday, June 12th from 6:30-7:30. Taking place at OLPH - Hensen Hall.
